Our Society has evolved to achieve successful representation by emphasizing our identity as physicians within a formal section of the AMA. Whether referred to as the AMA Section of Laboratory Physicians, or the Alberta Society of Laboratory Physicians, the acronym ASLP still applies and symbolizes the voice of Alberta doctors practising laboratory medicine.
